The Way to Be Good

So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. Mark 10:18

We Need the Understanding to Stand Before a Righteous God

And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment. Hebrews  9:2

The Old Covenant was Mediated by Moses

I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”    Rom. 7:7

… if there had been a law given which could have given life, truly righteousness would have been by the law. 22 But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

`          Gal. 3:21-22

Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.  Romans 3:20

Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.  Gal. 3:24-25

“Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— 9 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the Lord. 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 11 None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. 12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” Heb. 8:8-12

Jesus is the Mediator of the New Covenant

… Jesus has also become the guarantee of a better covenant. Heb. 7:22 (CSB)

… (Jesus) is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.  Hebrews 8:6

13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, 15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace.  Eph. 2:13-15

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.  Galatians 2:16

Christ is Also the Sacrifice, the Priest and Final Judge

33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Rom. 8 33-35

Upon a life I did not live and a death I did not die, I base my whole hope of eternity.

Old Covenant was Behave to Belong

New Covenant is Believe to Belong

Belonging Empowers us to Become
