Characteristics of the Nation of God, Part 4

Kingdom Characteristics:

1. Our government is a theocracy, not a democracy.

We are submissive to authority.

2. Our mindset is positive, not negative.

We have confident expectation that things are going to get better.

3. Our language is praise, not complaint.

Complaint is an affront to God.

4. Social Structures – We Value People Differently

We Aspire to be Servants rather than Masters.
Our priorities of Joy: Jesus, Others, You.

5. Moral Ethics – We act Differently.

Spiritual rather than Sensual
Integrity rather than Relativism
Honest rather than Deceptive

6. Justice System – We Judge Differently

We Forgive rather than Condemn.

7. Economics – We are Motivated Differently

Sowing and Reaping rather than Buying and Selling

8. Financial Philosophy – We View Money Differently

The Distinction Between Wealth and Money

  • Wealth is What God Owns
God owns all the resources and commodities of the earth
God gives Us power to get wealth
  • Money is a Medium of Exchange in the World System
Money Belongs to the World System

Wealth and Money Can Change Kingdoms!

Money is our servant, not our master.

No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. Luke 16:13

We need to tell our money what to do and where to go.

Establish 3 directives for your money.

  1. Return to the Lord His Tithe – 10%
  2. Direct money for Giving to Others – 5-10%
  3. Transfer Money to Wealth – 10%

9. Work Ethic – We Work Differently

Excellence rather than Mediocrity

And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent… Phil. 1:9-10

Excellence is a Godly Characteristic.

He has done excellent things. Is. 12:5

Excellence Distinguishes.

Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm. Dan. 6:3

Excellence is living with the consciousness of Jesus.

And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. Col. 3:17

And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. Col. 3:23-24

Excellence makes us shine in this world.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. 2 Cor. 4:7

Excellence inspires people and brings glory to God.
