When You Can’t Find the Missing Peace

Waiting: the action of staying where one is, or delaying action.

“Hurry is violence on the soul.” – John MC

Faith and trust in God mean surrendering to His perfect timing and embracing His flawless will with unwavering patience.

An angel of the Lord appeared to him [Joseph] in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” 22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23 “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”). Matt. 1:20-23

“Seed of woman crush serpent’s head.” Gen 3:15

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14

Just because God is silent, it doesn’t mean He isn’t present.

But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship. Galatians 4:4-5

Hebrew words: “Pleroma Chronou” — complete, full measure, the perfect time

But when the time was right… Gal 4:4 CEV
But when the fullness of time had come… Gal 4:4 ESV

God will always answer in His perfect timing.

God’s delays are not necessarily God’s denials!

Before God does something FOR you—Something IN you!
Just because God is silent, doesn’t mean He isn’t listening.
Before God does something for us, He wants to do something in us.

Waiting is a purposeful journey designed to deepen our hunger for God and draw us closer to Him.

Waiting is supposed to make us better, not bitter.

“He has made everything beautiful in its time” is a Bible verse from Ecclesiastes 3:11.

Faith isn’t about having all the answers, but trusting in the One who does.

Don’t waste the waiting! Here’s what to do while we wait:

1. Be still, Surrender & Pray.

“Be still, and know that I am God.” Ps. 46:10

2. Trust in God’s Character.

Don’t trust in your human wisdom or own understanding.
Trust in the Lord, not in your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Seasons of waiting reveal where we are placing our trust.
Rest assured His will be done.

Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him. Isa 64:4

While you’re waiting, God is working!
Learn to trust God’s timing.

You will keep in perfect peace, him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal. Isaiah 26:3

Our posture while we wait will bring us great strength.

But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles,
they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

God desires to make our waiting a fruitful season, transforming our hearts in the process.
Find the missing peace by being still & waiting on the Lord.
Faith and trust in God mean surrendering to His perfect timing and embracing His flawless will with unwavering patience.

From of old no one has heard or perceived by the ear, no eye has seen a God besides you, who acts for those who wait for him. Psalm 130:5

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope. Proverbs 20:22
