And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them. But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.”

Acts 1:8

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

Our role is not to struggle to get God to do something, but to trust in His promises and the power already at work within us.
