A Vehicle is Needed because of the Limitation of the Flesh

Habits are the Vehicle that Carry you to your Destination

In all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works. Titus 2:7

… make all the more effort to make your calling and election certain—for if you keep doing these things, you will never stumble. 2 Peter.1:10 (TLV)

A Habit is a Settled, Customary Practice or Action

…receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.  James 1:22-23        

Every person who wants to excel must embrace the disciplines that are required to reach the goal.

A Habit has Tremendous Power

• Daniel Prayed 3 Times a Day Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days. Dan.6:10
• Jesus Went to the Synagogue on the Sabbath So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day … Luke 4;16

• Paul Found the Place of Prayer

And on the Sabbath day we went out of the city to the riverside, where prayer was customarily made … Acts 16:13

• Believers Met Regularly

Some people have gotten out of the habit of meeting for worship, but we must not do that. Heb.10:25 (ESV)

• Jesus Went to Mount of Olives to Pray

Coming out, He went to the Mount of Olives, as He was accustomed, and His disciples also followed Him. 40 When He came to the place, He said to them, “Pray that you may not enter into temptation.” Luke 22:39-40

Your Vehicle is Assigned by God

“Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. Jn. 14:5-6

Your Vehicle is Fueled by Passion

As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You, O God.

Psalm 42:1

 For this I toil, striving with all the energy which he mightily inspires within me. Col. 1:29 (RSV)

 Christ! No more, no less. That’s what I’m working so hard at day after day, year after year, doing my best with the energy God so generously gives me.   Col.1:29 (MSG)

Your Vehicle is a Place of Rest

Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it. Heb.4:1

Your Vehicle Needs to be Serviced and Maintained

Then the Kingdom of Heaven will be like ten bridesmaids who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. The five who were foolish didn’t take enough olive oil for their lamps, but the other five were wise enough to take along extra oil. Mt. 25:1-4 (NLT)
