It’s Hard to See in the Dark

God created the dark… darkness is a part of our daily life.

…God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night so the evening and the morning were the first day. Gen. 1:4-5

Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to You. Psalm 139:12

Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. Genesis 1:16

For the enemy has persecuted my soul; he has crushed my life to the ground; he has made me dwell in darkness, like those who have long been dead. Therefore, my spirit is overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is distressed.  Ps. 143:3-4

Terror will strike at night like a flood or a storm. Job 27:20 CEV

Don’t doubt in the darkness what God has shown you in the light.

For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Cor. 5:7

Don’t trade what you know for what you don’t know.

God sits with us in the dark.

Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; when I fall, I will arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me. Micah 7:8

There is no darkness in God… but He is there in the darkness.

This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 1 John 1:5

God is at work in the dark.

Now when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and behold, horror and great darkness fell upon him. And it came to pass, when the sun went down and it was dark, that behold… on the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram… Gen. 15:12,17-18

And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night. Exodus 13:21

The darkness of night comes to an end.

Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Ps. 30:5
