Integrity

Whose report will you choose to Believe?

Truth or a Lie

Genesis 3 (NLT)

3The serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild animals the Lord God had made. One day he asked the woman, “Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?”

2“Of course we may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,” the woman replied. 3“It’s only the fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden that we are not allowed to eat. God said, ‘You must not eat it or even touch it; if you do, you will die.’”

4“You won’t die!” the serpent replied to the woman. 5“God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.”

6The woman was convinced. She saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious, and she wanted the wisdom it would give her. So she took some of the fruit and ate it. Then she gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it, too. 7At that moment their eyes were opened, and they suddenly felt shame at their nakedness. So they sewed fig leaves together to cover themselves.

The origin of Lies started in the garden.

The devil told the woman a lie.

“You won’t die!” the serpent replied to the woman. 5“God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.”

Sin looks good. She saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious”

She believed the lie.The woman was convinced.”

They were deceived.

13Then the Lord God asked the woman, “What have you done?”

“The serpent deceived me,” she replied. “That’s why I ate it.”

Your Sin will cause an effect on people around you.

Then she gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it, too. 7 At that moment their eyes were opened, and they suddenly felt shame at their nakedness. So they sewed fig leaves together to cover themselves.

The devil will cause you to doubt the truth.

“Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?”

Who’s report are you going to believe?

Truth only exists through Jesus

John 14:6 (NLT)

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

Jesus is the only way to Heaven

1 Timothy 2:5-6 (NKJV)

5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time,

Freedom from sin and death.

Romans 8:2 (NKJV)

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

Freedom comes when you know the truth.

John 8:32 (NLT)

And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Truth breaks the yoke of bondage over our lives.

Galatians 5:1 “For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to the yoke of slavery.”

Freedom comes in the presence of the Holy Spirit.

2 Corinthians (NLT)

For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
