Real Relationships – The Secret Ingredient to Success
Humility is the secret ingredient to making all your relationships successful
Ephesians 4:2 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
Matthew 11:29
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
Philippians 2:8
And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death– even death on a cross!
Are your hearts tender and compassionate? 2 Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.3 Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. 4 Don’t look out only for your own interests but take an interest in others, too.5 You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.6 Though he was God,[a] he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. 7 Instead, he gave up his divine privileges[b]; he took the humble position of a slave[c]and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form,[d]8     he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.
Mark 9:33-37
33 After they arrived at Capernaum and settled in a house, Jesus asked his disciples, “What were you discussing out on the road?” 34 But they didn’t answer, because they had been arguing about which of them was the greatest. 35 He sat down, called the twelve disciples over to him, and said, “Whoever wants to be first must take last place and be the servant of everyone else.”
36 Then he put a little child among them…
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭18:1-4‬ ‭NLT‬‬
“About that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?” Jesus called a little child to him and put the child among them. Then he said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven. So anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.”
1. Humility ends arguments
2.  Humility keeps you aligned
3.  humility elevates you high in the kingdom
Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for ‘God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.’ Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you”
humility is the secret ingredient to making all your relationships successful
often times humility in our own life will sound like this:
I am sorry
I was wrong
please forgive me
how can i make it better
