April 3rd - Ps Ken Miles

Hello Everyone,

I pray that you all are doing well and that you are experiencing a special grace from God at this time. Let me bring you up to date on a few things and share with you some of our plans moving forward.

No one knows for sure just how long this time of extreme physical distancing will last. As a church, we will abide by the guidelines put out by our government authorities. We will continue to stream our services and small groups online. Be sure to tune in every Sunday at 10:30 … and click share as the service starts so we can reach as many people as possible. I encourage you to participate in the service as if we were all together. Sing with the singers and join in when we pray. To respond to Pastor David’s requests for video testimonies and scripture readings. We want to use these in our services going forward.

One special feature of our service this Sunday will be joining together in communion. Please prepare to have some bread and grape juice available during the service time. If you don’t have grape juice any kind of juice is acceptable. Just follow my instructions online as I lead us through communion. I would encourage the spiritual head of your home to serve the other members of the family. I really believe that this will be a special time for us all.

Lastly, let me encourage you to be faithful in your giving. During this time, as you can imagine, all churches are down in their donations. In fact, one pastor called me yesterday and told me his church had to lay off some of their staff because of the decline in their offerings. This is a difficult time for all of us, but God is our source. He will meet our needs whether it is in our families or in our church.

In closing, let me just say, keep up the good work. Persevere, help others and share your faith. God is working good through all of this.

Blessings on you all.

Pastor Ken Miles

March 17th - Ps Ken Miles

I just want to bring you all up to date on what is happening at K-W Christian Fellowship and our plans for the future in response to Covid-19.

As we all watch the news, we see that the community response to this disease is changing rapidly and the guidelines for social distancing are tightening. We want to be wise and do our part to help prevent the spread of this virus.

As a result, we are cancelling all our church meetings for the foreseeable future. This would include all our mid-week gatherings as well as our Sunday services. For most of us, this is going to create quite a void in our lives.

So, during this time of disruption, I would ask you to do the following:

  1. Join us online Sunday morning at 10:30. We are putting together an hour service of worship, prayer and I

am trusting an inspiring message from God’s Word. Gather your family around and let’s have church

together in our living rooms.

  1. Keep in touch with us during the week through social media. Check-in with us through Facebook and our

other media platforms. You will find updates and weekly devotionals from the pastors here.

  1. Be faithful in your financial stewardship … by texting "give" to (844) 211-2768 or by giving online through our website, through e-transfer or using

the tithely app.

  1. Look for ways to serve your friends and neighbours in need. This is a great opportunity to show the love of

Christ to others. We are in the process of setting up a hotline and a team of volunteers from the church to

help those who are unable to get out to purchase groceries and other items. If you would like to be involved

call or email the church office.

  1. Last, but not least, pray … and share your faith and confidence in Christ. Be a steadying influence to your

family, friends, and workmates.

In closing, I believe that during this time, we can learn a crucial truth. And that is, the church … is people … not the meeting. Ponder on that … and let’s use this time as a great opportunity for KWCF to be the church in our community.

We’ll talk to you soon. Bye for now.
